Scholarships

The Society of Wine Educators (SWE) is now accepting scholarship applications for our 2024 wine and spirits programs. These scholarships are open to residents of the United States, Canada, or Mexico who have not previously earned a wine or spirits certification.

SWE is making these awards available to those who feel they have been marginalized or thwarted in their pursuit of a “place at the table” in the wine and spirits industry. This may include BIPOC, women, LGBTIQA+, non-binary people, people with limited financial means, and/or people with disabilities. The award includes a one-year membership to SWE, an exam credit valid for one year for either the Certified Specialist of Wine (CSW) or Certified Specialist of Spirits (CSS) exam, and attendance in our instructor-led online prep class. To apply, please download the attached application and email your response to Vanessa Brandenburg, General Manager, at vbrandenburg@societyofwineeducators.org.
