A Deep Dive into Ribera del Duero:
This session will be presented by Jane A. Nickles, CWE, CSE
One of modern Spain’s pre-eminent red wine-producing regions, Ribera del Duero has a long history of wine production, with some references dating it as far back as 2,600 years ago. Despite this history, when Ribera del Duero received its Denominación de Origen (DO) status in 1982, there were only nine wineries in the region. Since then, Ribera del Duero has evolved substantially. Over the past few decades, its finely crafted Tempranillo-based wines have risen to international prominence and today, the region boasts over 300 wineries. Join Jane A. Nickles, SWE’s Director of Education and Certification, in a deep dive into the wines of the Ribera del Duero DO (including a nod to obscure-but-delicious white and rosado wines of the region).
This is a members-only webinar, and advance registration is required.
