The past informs the present and while that is true for all spirit categories, it is perhaps most true in Guyanese rum. Guyana embraces a rum making tradition going back centuries. These practices, methods, materials, and even equipment directly shape the rum of today. Join Ben Coffelt as we investigate the history behind the rums, the centuries-old wooden stills, and unique approach that makes Guyana one of the most distinctive rum producers.
