Gewürztraminer is often viewed as a lone variety, but in reality it is part of a convoluted family thanks to some of its parent grapes legendarily “unstable genes.” Join us for this one-hour webinar discussing the history, wines, and extended family of the Gewürztraminer grape. Stay tuned for a grocery list of suggested wines to taste-along. Click here for details, login info, instructions.

This one-hur session will explore the dynamic between the 1,000 growers and 8 producers of Madeira, the grapes and where they are grown, the “Latada” system of vine training, methods of production, styles and age indication, and the future of Madeira. Mark Rashap, CWE, serves as Director of Wine Education at the Wine and Food Foundation of Texas and hosts the radio show and podcast Another Bottle Down.  Previously, Mark studied Wine Management in Buenos Aires, made wine in Washington State, trained retail staff as a corporate educator, and worked as Marketing Coordinator for the Society of Wine Educators. Click here for details, login info, instructions.
